December 29, 2021January 4, 2022Tale Behind The Four Faces of Brahma The CreatorLord Brahma is responsible for the creation of mankind as a whole. Lord Brahma’s four faces or heads are thought to represent the Hindu religion’s four Vedas. Rig-Veda, Sama-Veda, Yajur-Veda, and Atharva-Veda are the Vedas dedicated to each head. the four faces, according to another tale, represent the four primary directions of the universe: north, south, east, and west.According to Vaishnava tradition Brahma was born in a lotus, issuing from Vishnu’s navel. Shaivism factions think he is descended from Shiva or one of his aspects, whereas goddess-centric Shaktism claims Devi created the universe, including Brahma. Brahma produced his children from his thinking, according to the Vedas, and therefore they were given the name Manasputra. The most prominent Hindu temple for Brahma is the Brahma Temple, Pushkar. Why lord Brahma has four faces?According to Hindu puranas, Lord Brahma had five heads, and the reason for his loss of the fifth head remains a mystery to this day.LingothbavarLord Shiva took the form of Lingodbavar (A large pillar like form with no start and end) that reached from the sky to the earth and asked Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma to observe his crown and foot when they wished to test and prove their strength. It was difficult for Lord Vishnu, in the form of a wild boar, to reach the end and view the feet. As a result, he accepted his defeat and surrendered to Lord Shiva. On the other hand, Lord Brahma, disguised as a swan, attempted to attain Lord Shiva’s crown. He, like Lord Vishnu, was unable to reach the peak, but he wanted to show that he was the greatest, so he asked a flower falling from Lord Shiva’s crown to misspell that he possessed the Dharshan of Lord Shiva’s crown.Lord Shiva became enraged after hearing the flower’s deception and ripped off Lord Brahma’s fifth head. Lord Vishnu immediately intervened to save Lord Brahma’s life, and God Brahma was pardoned, but not worshipped in any other temple until now.Bhu Loka Parijat (related to flower falling from Lingodbavar’s head)Another tale suggests that Lord Brahma was pleased by Manmada and Radhidevi’s penance and granted them three arrows, which had the potential to spark romance in even the most strong-willed of people, according to another account. Lord Brahma himself was put to the test by Manmada, the Romance God.God Brahma was forming ten men and a woman named Satarupa at the time. He was drawn to Satarupa after being awoken by the arrow. She moved to God Brahma’s left, irritated by his fascinated look, and a new head appeared to stare at her. When she raced in all four directions, she was greeted by four amorous heads. Suddenly, she sprang above his head, and the fifth head appeared above the other four. She requested Lord Shiva’s assistance in order to escape from his starring. Lord Brahma is the one who produced Satarupa, hence she is considered his daughter. As a result of the creator of the world’s behaviour, Lord Shiva got enraged and severed the 5th head.Lord Shiva is generally depicted holding a human skull in his hand, which is none other than Lord Brahma’s skull.Credits:Featured ImageLingothbavar ImagePaarijat ImageBrahmaMystery Behind 4 Heads Of Brahma – Hindu Temple BlogSelect your reaction+1 2+1 1+1 0+1 0+1 1 Facebook Twitter Email Telegram Related Temples Sanatan Secrets
