November 28, 2021November 28, 2021Relativity of Time: Our One Year Is Just 10micro seconds for Lord BrahmaAccording to Puranic scriptures, Krishna’s departure marks the end of the Dvapara-yuga and the beginning of the Kali-yuga.We are halfway through Brahma’s lifetime (maha-kalpa). A maha-kalpa is followed by an equal-length maha-pralaya (complete disintegration). Each kalpa (Brahma’s day) is followed by an equal-length pralaya (Brahma’s night or partial dissolution). Each manvantara has a manvantara-sandhya (connection period) preceding and following it, each lasting Satya-yuga.Astronomical alignments mark the beginning and end of each of the yugas, according to Hindu literature. The Treta-yuga of this cycle began with five planets in the constellation “Aries.” The “Saptarshi” constellation (Ursa major) resides in the “Magha” constellation at the end of this cycle’s Dvapara-yuga. With the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter in the “Pushya” sector, the current Kali-yuga will come to an end.Lifespans:-Humans, Pitris, Devas, Manus, and Brahma all have various lifespans according to Hindu Scriptures. Each year is divided into twelve 30-day months or 360 days, with each day consisting of a 12-hour day proper and a 12-hour night. Every two weeks, a 30-day month is divided into four 7-day weeks with an additional 8th day (48-week year). The northern (uttarayana) and southern (dakshinayana) movements of the sun in the sky are used to measure a conventional human year, with the new year beginning only when the sun returns to the same starting position and a halt if the sun does not.Human 1 year = Pitri12 day = Deva1 day = Manu ~10.14 sec = Brahma 10 μsCosmic metrics:-The computations of cosmic Hindu units of time as experienced by many entities, including humans, Pitris (forefathers), Devas (gods), Manu (progenitors of mankind), and Brahma (the Supreme Being) (creator god) are given below. The history of humanity is split into four yugas: Satya-yuga, Treta-yuga, Dvapara-yuga, and Kali-yuga—each with a 25% decrease in dharmic practises and length, yielding 4:3:2:1 proportions, suggesting a de-evolution in spiritual consciousness and an advancement in material consciousness. A divine year lasts 360 solar (human) years, hence lengths are expressed in divine years. With 1,728,000 years of Satya-yuga, 1,296,000 years of Treta-yuga, 864,000 years of Dvapara-yuga, and 432,000 years of Kali-yuga, a chatur-yuga lasts for 4.32 million solar (12,000 divine) years. The lifespan of the Pitris (forefathers) lasts for 100 of their years = 3,000 solar years. The lifespan of the Devas (gods) lasts for 100 of their years = 36,000 solar years. The lifespan of the Manus (progenitors of mankind) lasts for 100 of their years = 306,720,000 solar years. The lifespan of Brahma (creator god) lasts for 100 of his years = 311.04 trillion solar years.Time scale in PerspectiveSources of Hindu units of time:-The Mahabharata describes units of time from a wink of the eye (nimesha) up to the days (kalpa) and nights (pralaya) of Brahma. The Manusmriti describes units of time from a twinkling of the eye (nimesha) up to the days (kalpa) and nights (pralaya) of Brahma. The Surya Siddhanta describes units of time from a respiration (prana) up to the 100-year lifespan of Brahma (maha-kalpa).Credits:Featured Image By Photo Dharma from Sadao, Thailand – 059 The Birth detail of Lord Brahma, CC BY 2.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=50796692SourceSelect your reaction+1 3+1 0+1 4+1 0+1 0 Facebook Twitter Email Telegram Related Temples Sanatan Secrets BrahmaSanatan Dharma
