Ambaji Temple, Gujarat:

Ambaji, a popular journey spot of Gujarat in India is located close to border of Gujarat and Rajasthan near Abu Road, in the Danta Taluka of Banaskantha District. It is close to the beginning of the renowned Vedic river Saraswati, on the slopes of Arasur Parvat in Ambica woods , towards south-west side to old slopes of Arvalli. It is one of the Fifty One (51) Shakti Peeths, the principle Center of Cosmic Power in India. . Ambaji mata temple is a significant Shakti Peeth of India.

In the heavenly temple of “Arasuri Ambaji”, there is no picture or sculpture of goddess. The blessed “Shree Vishwa Yantra” is worshipped as the primary divinity. Nobody can see the Yantra with naked eye. The photography of the Yantra is strictly prohibited. This Vishwa Yantra is adorned with ornaments and special attire in a way that it resembles Goddess Ma Ambe.

Architectural Beauty

The design of the sanctuary is very imaginative and is a decent portrayal of indian practice and culture. A glorious kalash is mounted at a stunning height of 103 feet on the top most point of the sanctuary. The heaviness of the kalash is multiple tones and it is produced using a unique sort of smooth white marble that is curated from the bowels of Arasur mines. The marble has been plated pure gold and it carries the sacred flag of Ambaji Mata and the significant Trishul. The primary temple of Ambaji is small with a sprawling Mandap and the blessed Gokh of mata amba in the Garbh. An immense Cachar is placed before the Garbh.

The primary Temple or Nij Mandir is constructed before the old temple.This sanctuary has an immense importance for the admirers of Shakti sampraday. Not just the Nij Mandir is well known for being the seat of infinite superpower that protects the universe but is also widely admired for its magnificent architecture and complex religious carvings.

Other Facts about the temple

Other unknown facts about the sanctuary and customs followed are, in the first part of the day, Balyaroop of Ma Ambe is worshipped with Bal Bhog as Prasad. In the early evening at 12 PM, Yauvanroop is adored with Rajbhog Prasad in gold thal and in evening Praudhroop is worshipped with Sayanbhog.

Amabji Temple is the main sanctuary on the planet where consistently different vahan is utilized as savari of Ma Devi Ambe. Tiger on Sunday, Nandi on Monday, Lion on Tuesday, Aairavat on Wednesday, Garudjee on Thursday, Hans on Friday and Elephant of Saturday are utilized as Savari or Vahan or rider of Ma Devi Ambe. Four Bhattji families have been assigned to worship as Pujari in Ambaji Temple. Every year different family accepts the charge as main Pujari in Temple from April to March.

Akhand Jyot – Holy light, is put in Chanchar Chowk from numerous years and other Akhand Jyot is set on Gabbar Hill in same line. Devotees can see both the Jyot in line in the evening from Chanchar Chowk or Gabbar.

Ambaji sanctuary has gone through renovation in a few stages; old design has been replaced with carved marble under direction of master Sompura Community. The internal piece of sanctuary is staying immaculate and hold in unique structure.
